Special Book & Album EditionPhysical CD Album + Digital Album

The Flesh as the Axis of Ecstasy is conceived as a complete ritual work in which sound, image, symbol, and text converge within a single field of experience. This edition includes the physical CD version of the album, the complete digital album, and an extensively illustrated 70-page digital book in full color, created as a visual and textual extension of the seven compositions.

In The Flesh as the Axis of Ecstasy, flesh is approached not as a temporary envelope of consciousness but as a living axis through which desire, memory, trance, and magical imagination acquire form. Drawing inspiration from Austin Osman Spare’s Zos Kia and its radical relationship between body, sigil, desire, and atavistic consciousness, while entering into dialogue with the Sabbatic current associated with Andrew D. Chumbley, EMME YA develops a sonic environment in which the body becomes both ritual instrument and visionary territory.

Within this architecture, the sigil ceases to exist merely as a graphic sign and begins to behave as a living presence, while sound becomes invocation, repetition becomes possession, and vision emerges through the transformation of embodied consciousness. The flesh becomes a grail of sensation and memory, an organic surface upon which ancestral images, animal powers, autonomous symbols, and dream-forms continually inscribe themselves.

At the center of the work stands the Black Vulture, not as a conventional emblem of death, but as a guardian of transition and altered perception, a scavenger intelligence capable of consuming what has become inert and returning it to another cycle of existence. Its flight becomes a ritual movement through decomposition and resurgence, suggesting that transformation begins precisely where fixed forms surrender their authority.

Across seven compositions and approximately forty minutes, bone, blood, breath, voice, and vibration are transformed into an alphabet of ecstatic mutation. The accompanying 70-page digital book, illustrated throughout with full-color imagery, expands this current through reflections on Zos, Sabbatic consciousness, sacred and scavenger animals, bodily sigils, trance, visionary states, autonomous symbols, and the relationship between flesh and magical metamorphosis.

The album and book therefore function as two expressions of the same ritual organism: one operates through sound and vibration, while the other unfolds through image, text, and symbolic architecture. Together they form a single passage into a territory where flesh burns as axis, dream becomes mask, and the boundary between the practitioner and the symbol begins to dissolve.

1. Atavism Incarnate in the Fire of the VultureThe cycle opens with the Black Vulture rising as an atavistic intelligence awakened beneath the surface of the body, igniting memories older than personal identity and exposing the flesh as a reservoir of ancestral and animal consciousness. The Sabbatic vision encounters the Zos here, as the body-sigil becomes a living point of ignition through which forgotten forms return to movement.

2. The Grail of Black LaughterThe grail contains neither doctrine nor sacrament, but an ecstatic laughter capable of breaking rigid structures and dissolving the solemn masks of magical authority. Within this composition, laughter becomes intoxication, liberation, and ritual excess, transforming the chalice into a vessel through which fixed identity loses its boundaries.

3. Death Posture, Sabbat NuptiaExtreme stillness becomes a gateway rather than an ending. Spare’s Death Posture is reimagined as a Sabbatic nuptial operation in which the practitioner enters into symbolic union with the invisible, allowing personal identity to temporarily collapse so that another configuration of consciousness may emerge from its silence.

4. The Serpent in the Body of ZosA serpentine current moves through the body as an internal axis of desire and transformation, turning flesh into a living sigil whose lines are written through sensation rather than ink. The serpent becomes simultaneously movement, memory, instinct, and Sabbatic mask, carrying the Zos toward an increasingly fluid state of perception.

5. The Pact of the Peacock and the Burning FleshThe Peacock unfolds its field of eyes across the ritual body, joining beauty, vigilance, sacrifice, and transformation within a single image. Its feathers become burning seals through which the flesh is perceived as ornament and offering, while every eye suggests another consciousness observing from beyond the ordinary limits of perception.

6. The Resurgence of the Crimson DaimonFrom the remains of exhausted identity rises the Crimson Daimon, an embodied double formed from desire, memory, instinct, and ecstatic force. Rather than appearing as an external authority, it emerges from within the ritual body itself, demanding movement, surrender, transformation, and confrontation with the hidden energies that normally remain beneath conscious control.

7. The Song of the Unified FleshThe final movement gathers the fragments of the preceding operations into a single body of vibration. Faces, animals, symbols, dreams, memories, and larval forms converge within an ecstatic chorus where fragmentation gives way to a temporary unity, and the flesh recognizes itself as both temple and passage, continually decomposing and recreating its own symbolic architecture.

“A current where sigils crawl from the flesh and dreams mutate into living masks.”
